Product description
Norditek's eddy current magnet is used, for example, toremove non-magnetic metals from slag in waste incineration plants. It is available in three sizes and can be customized for a specific application.
Heavier metals (copper, brass, gold, silver, lead) are more valuable and very resource intensive to mine, enrich and produce. Therefore, Our eddy current magnet has many useful applications.
The eddy current technique allows a material with high electrical conductivity and low density to be separated more easily. Conductivity is a measure of how well it conducts electricity, while density is important because it affects the weight of the piece of metal. So for the eddy current forces created by the magnetic roller to separate the material effectively, they must overcome the force of gravity.

Norditek EC1000
The EC1000 eddy current separator is very efficient at removing material from 20 mm-1000 mm. The EC1000 is fully mobile and can be adapted to the application .Thanks to damping beams, it can also eddy current separate a heavy over-fraction .
Norditek EC1500
The Norditek EC1500 is very effective at removing material from 0.5 mm-200 mm .Can be equipped with shaker or belt feeder and magnets for magnetic metals. The design of the machine can be adapted to the application.

The table below ranks metals according to their conductivity-to-density ratio (σ/ρ) —the single most important measure for predicting how well a non-ferrous metal will respond in an eddy current separator. A high value means that the material is both easily magnetized and light enough to be deflected by the repulsive force. This is why aluminum and magnesium are ideal target materials: they rank far above copper and silver even though the latter have higher absolute conductivity—they are simply much lighter.
